Weird, poor selling cars often become cult classics. Stock is always best, with the highest performance package possible. Weird colors typically demand the highest prices because they are rare.

01-02 BMW Z3 Coupes are a good example. A low mileage, weird color combo without a sunroof can approach $100K, that is more than 2 times the original price of a car that is less than 20 years old.

Only 15K were made for the entire production run.

All US models came with a sunroof, to get one without you had to order one with "sunroof delete".

A few people ordered weird exterior colors with weird interior colors- there are a few combinations that there are only one or two cars that were built like that. Those unicorns demand a $10k premium or more.
