Intial D helped, but c'mon any clean, reliable, lightweight rwd Japanese car from the 80-90s is going to demand a premium these days.
Hell, there was a 99 Civic Si that just sold on BaT for $24,000. They just don't make them like they used to, and people realize that and are willing to pay more because of it.
