You must mean the lower center of gravity for a motor that is significantly heavier than an I4 of similar displacement and output. Then start bolting all the accessories to the top of the boxer, and your CoG is back up to where an I4 would be with it's low mount accessories, plus it's still 100 pounds heavier. Explain to me what part of this chassis is due to the boxer layout (aside from the huge frame rail spacing needed to accommodate the incredibly wide motor), and then explain why Honda can make an S2000, or Mazda can have the Miata, both of which are the 86's handling equal or better, all with the 'disadvantage' of an I4. Subaru's boxer motor is a brand distinction tool at this point - nothing else. Zero to be gained.
