Update:

I added and sanded down bondo to get the garnish smooth and even. So I'm pretty much ready to add the flanges and complete the inner lip on my Varis-like garnish mod. I hope to have a primered part soon. If I'm diggin the end product then I'll make the other side. Then I'll have to make two molds in case I decide to make more of them.

I closed up the opening for the gas cap door a little. With the way the cap fits now, the opening was long on the fwd and aft side but okay on the top and bottom. I also smoothed out the inner part of the gas cap area and filled in pin holes and low spots with glazing putty.

Once the door cap is gapped to my liking, I'll add some short strand fiberglass to the door top so I can block it across overfender opening. The middle is slightly low... shouldn't take much fiberglass.
