I've found it to be accurate strangely enough. When I was on stock wheels I was skeptical if it actual was accurate or not, so reset it before going up north for a drive, about a 2 hour trip one way, so a decent 4 hours total with varying traffic conditions. I find highway mileage to be more accurate than city.
I do about 50Km's a day up and down Kingston road to/from downtown Toronto. If that's not true city driving I don't know what is.
