Well, unfortunately you have to comprise when it comes to bass.
If trunk space is a major concern then your right on that under the seat sub.

Do not put it in the passenger foot well, your just asking for your car to get broken in.

I for one am not a big fan of the oem+ mainly cause I can price out the same set up for far less. But, if you want super simple plug and play then you get your money's worth on labor and hook up.

But.... fear not. Not all hope is lost. What many people forget and hardly take advantage is the huge odd space behind the rear baby speaker. If rig up a safe way to mount that under the seat sub, Bobs your uncle, your good.

I was going to go that route, but eh $40 10" slim fit sub box and basic $80 Pioneer amp and a little compromise, 2 hours later with a beer in one had and I was rocking and rolling down the highway.
