Unless* said adjacent lane is an HOV lane... No I get it. It seems kind of pointless but maybe he thought you were driving slow on purpose or something. Or maybe he didn't realize it was an HOV lane till he got in it. Or maybe he thought you were brake checking him because you were dragging the brakes with no one in front of you. I'm not trying to make excuses for the guy, but who knows what he was thinking. Anyway if the guy in the right lane went for the gap you left would that be violating your personal space? Are all drivers supposed to know that your personal space is 2 car lengths and not 1 or 3?
