It's really only an issue for magnetic storage. I suppose a strong enough magnet left attached for a long enough time might cause some oddities by magnetizing internal components, but it's not really an issue these days.

If I had a passenger in a collision that could be a problem.
Fortunately the passenger air bag turns off without a passenger, and I rarely have passengers in the car.
