Engine failure and dealer did the right thing

A few weeks ago, my 2013 *AT* FRS with 57, 230 miles on it, started knocking loudly about 8 miles into the MA86 spring rally.

I had it towed to Miller Toyota in Manassas, and the diagnosed it with a spun rod bearing

Toyota covered it without any hesitation and didn't even mention the grimmspeed intake or Tomei UEL headers.

Miller did a great job going to bat for me, and had great customer service.

From time of diagnosis until getting the car back was 15 days, and that was to replace the entire short block (ordered as one assembly straight from Toyota)

The interesting thing, since it's an AT, it obviously never needed the TSB for the leaking cam plate since the AT has the pump in place of that plate.. so we know that isn't the cause....

Just wanted to relate a GOOD dealer story, since there are some good ones out there, and was completely impressed with how they handled this.
