stg2 tune, catless header .. probably will see if they look, that cat efficiency check for DTC code P0420 is disabled. If that will allow to pass or will fail checks in Austria, i don't know. With those checks enabled in eg. stock tune, most probably CEL will soon be thrown. It shouldn't affect driving much (disables cruise control), but probably will make one fail inspection.
BTW, if you'll pass with catless header, imho you can leave stock catted frontpipe installed. Gains from secondary cat delete are minimal compared to decatted header. Will save you from extra work switching forth and back frontpipes pre/post inspection. If you won't pass, put stock header with cat back and flash back stock tune for inspection.
One may complain about government limiting performance mods .. but as for example taxes (or in some cases even subsidies) in many countries are dependent also on how efficient car is emissions-wise, i understand their wish to not legalize such mods for car used on public road, only because it was certified more eco-friendly if unmodded. There is reason, why many manufacturers of such aftermarket parts state their products as not road-legal / for race use.
