The OEM suspension is acceptable and there were also revisions to make it a bit different. Nevertheless, such a suspension either it is branded by Showa or Sachs, it is still made under the same strict 'general maitenance schedule" and cost guidelines of a production car so I wouldn't consider it the best available or in general better...
For sure, not to an extent a true performance driver will call it outside the PR talks, a performance suspension.
