There's a little square gap at the top of that panel just big enough to let a cable pass through. It's as if it were designed to allow this.
I have the cable run to a USB power port mounted to the steering support member under the dash (not shown). I have the USB port powered off the heated seat circuit in the fuse panel under the dash right there using an add-a-circuit.
It makes it a lot cleaner than having to plug it in somewhere. Eventually I'm going to run that cable through the boot in the door hinge and out the little gap next to the small window, so that it doesn't need any slack to open and close the door. |
So much better than my solution. Mine was just to string it along using cable clips in the interior panel gaps.
