There are kits by Duplicolor with either spray cans or cans of paint. Most auto parts stores sell them. I opted for painting them on my Miata a couple years ago. It has not been tracked and the color hasn't faded, but there was one drawback: The paint took several days to dry to a tacky consistency and stayed that way for a long time. Another Miata owner I know had the same experience, and in his case the pad dust turned the painted surfaces dark. That didn't happen to me. There are sets of covers in various colors that you can buy.
