Swapping to smaller hydraulics would make it more heavy throughout the entire pedal travel but the spring would still have that pivot point that screws with the linearity. For me it isn't about the weight but they annoying pivot point where it's soft near the floor and as you release the clutch you reach a point where it springs up. If it sprung up just after full engagement it probably wouldn't be as annoying.
