I've known people to track on fairly similar setups pretty successfully. One friend I can think of who is decently quick ran on Konis, RCE Yellow springs, 17x8 wheels, and camber plates/control arms for quite awhile. He finally started hitting those limits and is switching to a proper coilover setup, but a decent aftermarket shock with lowering springs can do well for a lot of people on track. People are running similar variations in 86 Cup too.
