Agreed in some ways; it's not a Ferrari.

But, like the user below you mentioned, some of us want to try to "preserve" the car to try to keep it long-term, not to mention I drive about 40k/year, so every km I keep off the car is a km saved in the future, not to mention the salt. I've only had my car since August 2014 and I'm already at 130k (got it with 1000km on it), so it's nice to be able to keep some mileage off of it.

I drove mine for the first 3 winters that I owned it, but this year I had access to a dealer demo for the first time ever, so I decided to take advantage of it and park my car in the garage. I figure I've saved myself at least 10-12,000km by not driving it this winter, plus the salt exposure.

Worth it for some, not worth it for others. I will agree that they are fun as HECK to drive in the snow, so I have kinda been missing that this winter (only took it out a couple of times when it was warm and the roads were dry).
