Hey everyone, recently purchased a 2015 Scion FR-S with 56,5XX miles. Recently had an issue with RPMs dropping to 500 then shooting up to 1000 while idle, would keep doing that until I restarted the car, turned out to be the Trans control module needed to be reprogrammed. Toyota also replaced the Fuel Pump. Once I got it back and started driving around while parked or at red light I would hear these noises. I have been doing research and have heard a bunch of possible explanations to what is wrong (Vacuum Pump, Lifters, Oil Starvation by excessive sealant, Tensioner/Pulley, Rocker Arm, or Cylinder Heads). Was curious if anyone else had this problem and would be able to shed some light on the situation, the dealer wants me to bring it back monday, but they dont think anything is wrong. Not sure if it is the natural sounds of the boxer engine, but friends with the same car does not have this loud of an idle noise, video attached. Video was not meant for visual but sound, I was looking around at night.
(yes it's auto, sadly, commute to work and home is not manual friendly, plus i would only have 2 days to learn stick before monday lol, so hopefully in the future tho)
