To be clear it is a common failure mode on engines that blew a bearing not necessarily a common occurrence.
There are about 25 recorded cases (on this forum) of bearing failure and maybe 7 or 8 of those were
known to be the plugged oil channels. Don't want everybody with a 13 to think the sky is falling when the known numbers are actually miniscule. Doesn't make thing better when you fall into that minority though.
