Actually, not really as long as the car doesn't get totaled in an accident and doesn't rust to nothing.

At my normal rate of about 20,000 miles a year it would take only 15 years and I'm already in year 6, so 9 more years to go, almost all of it "highway miles" (type of miles matter). Admittedly there is a good possibility I would have to spend some money to get there.

For example, my last daily driver got to 280,000 miles. The vehicle itself (a Chevy Astro) was solid. The engine threw a bearing and would have to have been replaced when I got rid of it. I could have done that, with a transmission, for a few thousand dollars and probably driven it another 100,000 miles. We decided at that point though we wanted a different family vehicle so for just a bit more we bought a used Suburban.

I guess my point is, anything can be done with enough determination and money.
