I'm in the middle. Of the 5 cars in my current herd 2 were purchased new, 3 were purchased used.
Typically when I go looking for a "new to me" car, I decide what I want first regardless of whether it is used or new.
When I decided in 2012 on the FR-S you could only get it new, so that's what I bought. If I was buying today I'd buy used because there isn't enough difference between new and old (for me) to buy new.
