Oh no doubt it is all in perspective. Here if it gets over 80F we go into heat warnings. They tell everybody to stay inside and check on the old folks. If it goes over 85F then all the factories go on a heat break schedule where they get half an hour break for every half hour worked. Heaven forbid it hit 90F since at that point everything that is not air conditioned shuts down.

When I was in Germany they had the worst storm in decades. A whole 4 inches of snow fell over about 8 hours. It pretty much paralyzed the area. If you went as little as two hours north they would have 4 inches a day and think nothing of it. It was sort of funny to see. How prepared for the snow an area is makes all the difference in the world.
