Yeah, this actually. Falkens are cheap and that's fine, but I would much rather run the top tier 200tw in some other class if I didn't have the SSC kit. The car is much more fun that way, stock or otherwise.
We have a local running on a 17x8 in DS, and they talked to their competitors to make sure it's OK. Run that route before you make the jump to SSC. When you get the full kit, grab some of the Falkens and then jump in.
