My originally ordered 18x8ET44 wheels fell through, I'm instead receiving 18x8.5ET44 wheels. I was originally going to use 225/40R18 tires on the wheels, and this looks like it could still work, but if I'm willing to deal with a shorter sidewall and all the ride comfort/higher potential for rim damage that comes with it, it looks like 245/35R18 would be workable too.

I'm curious about properly sizing tires and fitment for this on stock suspension. I think that 18x8.5ET44 should fit without issues on the suspension, but definitely the lower profile tires do have some additional width over the rim comparatively. Will this be an issue? Should I choose 225/40R18 or 245/35R18 for these wheels?

Thanks!
