I've used my right foot on the clutch before too. I had a dead battery and needed to push start the car. I find it easier to do it in reverse when you don't have help. So, right foot on the clutch and left foot out the door pushing the car backwards. Pop the clutch, it starts, push the clutch right back in and then pull the ebrake.

In my case getting an auto would not be a solution. Hahaha
