If you are fine with the car as is you are a "delusional fanboi" (an actual statement made recently)
If you want to do minor mods you are a pretender and don't do things "right"
If you go for big mods you are a ricer brah

There seems to be no winning. No matter what you do there will always be that one or two guys that are going to say it is wrong. This is not new to "car culture" and has been going on throughout the history of the automobile. It is just easier for people with conflicting ideals to be in one place now. I don't think it will go away.
