The high area causes the fender to bow over the pictured support... also causes the door to not aligned correctly.

These are my adjustments. Others have told me they have done similar but to what extent I don't know. I had one guy tell me he just cut the frame support and left it like that.

I cut the support but I added a new piece that is shorter and pushed back as illustrated. I also did another minor adjustment (not pictured) ... it is a likely required adjustment but instead of making a shim or using washers for spacers as others may have... I added some fiberglass resin.

In order to attempt to keep the fix simple, my friend with this issue should probably cut the support to see if it will solve his issue.... if not he'll have to cut and reinforce the modified support as I am doing.
