I'm not sure what particular aspect of Mobil1 causes this, but considering how often this has happened, I'm just not going to use Mobil1. There are tons of other oil brands out there that are as good or better, so there's no need to even bother with Mobil1.

The problem was with Mobil 1 5W-30; it sheared to 5W-20 in too little time. Now, Mobil 1 5W-30 High Mileage was a better oil, but I simply switched to Mobil 1 5W-30 TDT and Rotella T6 in my EJ.
