Who designs a structure with narrow passageways for cars where you need to hug the right wall in order for cars to go by in the other direction, then on the third or fourth turn up the structure puts an 8"-10" curb jutting out away from the wall that's literally impossible to see from the driver's seat, isn't marked with anything, and exists for no fucking reason at all? (There's no door, ticket kiosk, connecting walkways for peds, or anything at all inside that curb, for reference)

I was super-duper mad.

The only good news? It's the same rocker panel (I guess it's like half the side of the car, not a rocker panel, but I digress) that got dinged up on the lift when I took the car in for servicing. So I guess I'll finally be rid of that 1" scratch, at least.

I was waiting to meet up wit someone in a garage with similar characteristics, between the blind turns, vertical plastic marker things, turtle shell things, pedestrians and bad drivers - it was a total shit show. I watched this for 10 minutes or so, and to think that this circus goes on all day every day, amazing.

I am pretty sure that must modern parking garage designs are sponsored by the body shop cartel! Not sure how some people with bigger cars even manage.


Same with most new parking lots. I get that the off set driveways and random islands are supposed to slow down and control traffic flow but I don't want to try to put my maze completing skills to use every single time I want to visit Hobby Lobby. Even worse when there is deep snow and you are not sure where the hidden curbs even are.
