Nope, they just had no idea wtf I was talking about. The one dealers service desk didn't know what I was talking about, so they transferred me to the service manager. But he wasn't there and never returned my call. Called another dealer and the woman at the service desk had a 0 idea what I was talking about. She kept saying "nope, there's no recall here for that car". I tried explaining that it's not a recall, just a TSB, but she kept insisting that there's no recall. Didn't bother to look into it for me, or even ask the manager or someone.
I'm just paying to have my done at a local shop that's involved in the local 86 scene. Not like Toyota would replace mine anyway as I have 80k miles and am a few months over the 3yr limit

This is what annoys me with the dealers. When you call the service department, they're not knowledgeable at all. I wish car enthusiasts could just talk to the mechanics directly. I went in with the damn TSB printed out to tell them EXACTLY what the issue was, but they wouldn't take it. They just said they needed to do their $150 diagnosis to confirm what the issue is based on the symptoms I was having. All that only to tell me what I already knew. Every time I had to talk to the service rep who was supposed to be helping me, she would put me on hold for every question I had so she could go ask the mechanic about it. Why not just let me talk to the damn mechanic so we could resolve my issue without going through a middle (wo)man?!
