You said that you disagree that many people who can drive a manual aren't good enough at it to really know if they're missing out on something, but you only gave one example. Even after that one, there could still be many others who don't know what they're missing. I know several people who have the ability to drive manuals but have never put any significant time in one and certainly wouldn't be able to do what I do with mine in heavy traffic.
