I can honestly say I've never seen a matte colored vehicle of any type that I have liked. More power to folks like @ Borchert97 that like it, but its just not my thing.
I think it comes from having owned cars before clear-coat and matte meant the car needed waxing.

Newer matte cars do have a specialized matte clear coat, I understand the confusion that matte paint is just normal paint with clear, but that’s simply not the case anymore. Not for professional matte paints like Volkswagens, Lexus, Lamborghini. They do still take a fair bit more to take care of but a work around is to ceramic coat the matte and then you can clean it more like a normal car and with the benefits of a ceramic coat in general.
