When last weekend on ice track had some sideways action and for comparison had a go in colleague's bmw, wider steering angle in it made drifting easier indeed then in gt86. In mine i had to be very careful to not get past max countersteer angle at lock, when beamer still had lot more, allowing more relaxing and less error punishing drifting control. I guess, stock is that narrow due reduced space due wide boxer engine, hence "other cars" with inline or V engines more commonly have stock max angle wider.
