Either way, I heard back from the shop, and they got the go ahead from my insurance to go ahead and fix it. Although they said to make sure claims has a note regarding the fact that my MAF housing was in a million pieces and there is a good chance some of them ended up in the engine.
You must have tough feet. I moved my car about 10 yards in bare feet once and those bloody pedals hurt!
