The STi mounts are nicer for a car that is daily driven, and worth retaining a bit of comfort in my opinion.

I've found through the years that if you touch more components less you can often get a 'package' that is greater than the sum of it's parts.

A lot of people do solid motor mounts with stock trans mounts, and end up with tons of vibration and say there's no way they'd want to add more by doing the trans mounts. If they do STi motor mounts, and a whiteline trans mount insert, or a similar setup it's often more livable, and 99% as performance oriented.

Just my opinion, there's no wrong way to do it, just different ways.
