Mig welding is pretty easy for someone to get into with no knowledge. Most of what it takes to get clean welds has to do with good prep work, that would be, removing oil, dust, paint, etc to get things down to bare, clean metal, and then to make sure your settings with your shielding gas, wire-feed speed and amps are inline with your metal thickness.
