Yes, you need to find the correct throttle position while the engine rpm's are "going down" it sounds best between 3k and 5,5k Rpm for me.. It works in every gear, but i like to do it in 2nd or 3rd the most

so i for example accelerate to 6k in 2nd gear and then just press the trottle so slightly that the rmp's are going down and feather a little bit to find the sweetspot. Its takes a little bit of pracitice but you'll learn it
Its also nice to hold the correct position and on 2-3k rpm press the left paddle to do a downshift in a tunnel
