Theoretically yes, thicker oil is harder to push therefore it should be better to have thinner oil, (strictly in terms of simplified physics and resulting mpg) currently I have 30.7 on my dash display been 1.5k miles since last oil change and 7.5k since it had 5w30 in the car
Need to do more testing though
Hard to have consistency between oil changes though, plus I'm getting it ready for track and autocross this year so i won't be able to get "accurate" data for a little while
