Ahhhh.......yes, that brings back memories.

Almost every Sunday, in the late 1950's, I would work at my Uncles Chevrolet dealership and gas station. The picture is an actual picture ...... except the gas pumps are gone that were in front.

I would pump gas when someone drove up, and the bell rang, and wash cars (on a wash area behind the large glass window) between gas customers and detail new cars in that circular area, if things were really slow.

Yep, $1.00 per hour and happy to get the work ....... beat the heck out of baling hay .....

Gas was 31 cents per gallon, the cokes in the machine were 5 cents and cigarettes, out of the machine, were a quarter a pack.
