I'm sure we could all agree that the pedal feel is a little sub par, largely because it's drive by wire, but I also think they made the tension far too light. I find myself making shoe purchases around shoes that have a thin/soft enough sole so I can feel the pedal, and most of the time this doesn't make for a good walking around shoe.

No, I haven't and I would not recommend it.
"Drive-by-wire" spooks me enough, let alone opening it up and messen with it .....
