Kind of reminds me of the Porsche 964 and 993 with their dual plugged heads. The lower set of plugs required the removal of the mufflers and many of them never have had their lower plugs changed.

Try changing all eight of the sparkplugs in two 2003 E-350 vans.... twice.
I've never swore more in my life nor gotten as filthy working on a car.
IMO the opportunity to pull and engine and do some freshening is a good thing as long as you research it ahead of time, make sure you have the right tools, and plan ahead.
