Best way to check fuses is with a volt meter while the fuse is still in the fuse box by measuring the voltage on both sides of the fuse during it's operational state. Connect your negative lead to ground and the positive lead to the test point. A good fuse will have the same voltage at both test points. Don't forget to you have a fuse box under the hood and under the drivers dash.

If you don't have a volt meter...either get one or you're stuck pulling fuses and doing a visual check. By the way, there is a fuse puller in the box under the hood.
