I'm not a huge fan of OEM flaps for three reasons:
1. They tend to be less robust against abuse (because they are a complex shape, they are more easily damaged if you drive over an object that they don't clear.) Then again, the OEM flaps for the BRZ are much shorter, so this is likely to be much less of an issue than it was on my old Outback.
2. The wrap-around design is nice and streamlined, but it wears on the clear-coat of the car and can permanently damage it over time.
3. They won't fit with most (any?) aftermarket side skirts without some modifications.
