But when you gut the header and retain the heat shield, there's no way to tell what you've done (other than sound). A tune is not detectable and easily reversed.

A dealer will try to bully and intimidate you into thinking they can pull the rug out from under your warranty and they will threaten you. It's a crock of shit and in the end, the dealership just wants to make you happy and will work with you. Bring brownies (I'm dead serious- my wife brings treats for her dealer and they LOVE her) and a smile. they will look right past the mods you've done.

I had the dreaded timing cover leak and I was nervous they'd give me a hard time because of my mods (and they had to pay for my OFT they broke in a past service so they KNOW it's tuned). But no issues they did the work and it was no prob at all.
