The club was a great marketing scheme and had value against casual theft back before chip security systems but in today's cars it is a waste of time and money. Anybody that can bypass the chip is not even going to bat an eye at a club. As I said it will have no impact on towing either. Sure you can attempt to shoot them but do you stand staring at your car 24/7 with a gun in your hand?

Anybody that doesn't want their car stolen just needs to keep the key out of it. There is no ring of high end professional thieves searching out these cars.
