Alright, so the time between the first post to now has been.............. Interesting to say the least.
Let's start off almost a month ago. I work as a detailer for a dealership here in Indiana. To make a long story short I had them pull off a dealer trade with a dealership in New York to obtain this brz. Pic is from said New York dealership.
Alright, so far so good. So I thought. The check was mailed out the day before thanksgiving. Snail mail, that took almost a week for it to arrive in New York. Then we can go ahead and tack on a few more days for it to clear. Now roughly about 2 weeks in. Finally, we are good to go! My dealership sends a trucking company out to New York. 1 week goes by, nothing. Over the next few days I have been told several different "for sure" days. But unfortunately this is the weather we are working with.
So I figure it is the weather, which, it was. The trucking company was pretty behind. But the good thing about this I guess is I was able to start ordering some goodies for the brz. Went ahead and took advantage of Air Lift Performance's black Friday deal and got the 3P system.
Also got some of the Rocket Bunny v1 kit ordered. I am only going to have the over fenders (front and rear) and the side skirts. Still need to pay for the side skirts, I am holding off on shipping until they can send all the pieces at once.
So, finally, yesterday I see a truck pulling up with my brz on it.
In better shape than what I had expected. And today I got a bit of time to get her cleaned up.
Not bad, she has some swirls and scratches that as a detailer sort of drive me nuts, but I am trying not to go too hard on it since it will probably end up getting wrapped. I am rather grateful that at this point in my life I can afford to have an extremely nice reliable daily, an 01 IS300, and to be able to start a project like this. For anyone that has made it this far in this read and that cares, I am 17 months clean off heroin. I have always been into imports and have always dreamed of doing something like this. Just, needless to say, never had the money to do it haha
So there we have it, the start of my first, real build. I have some pretty big plans, but who doesn't when starting something like this. I really love the widebody stance look, so that's what I will be going for, and maybe someday in the future really dive into some serious performance apart from the basics.
We will see where this new year takes me and I want to thank anyone who read and/or replied. I will try to remember to update this as soon as something new comes in or is installed.
EDIT: I should probably include a list of parts I am wanting so I can check them off as we go.
