Hello eddwvrd,

I suggest you check your car's drivers manual for some more information.

On my 2013 FR-S, I like to see the level of coolant in the overflow tank about half way between the full and low lines, when the car is cold.

If the level falls below that you may either add the recommended "blue" stuff or if it just needs a little, some distilled or de-mineralized water will be OK.

The drops of liquid on the floor under your may be ice from the A/C condenser melting off. Even though you don't have your A/C "turned on" it will still run if the defrosters are being used.

To find out taste it ...... if it tastes like oil ..... it's oil; if it tastes like water .... it's water ...... if it tastes like the blue stuff in the coolant tank ..... it's coolant (don't drink it! .......).
