I actually find it easier to put him in my car than my wife's corolla now that he's front facing, and we have identical seats in both cars. In my car I can roll the passenger seat forward and squat in front of the baby seat. In the corolla you have to awkwardly reach over the baby seat.
Unless you're going to a significantly bigger car/van, 4 doors won't really improve the space much at all. Definitely take the seat(s) with you when you go car shopping.

Cause, I tried my friends baby seat which was 4 in 1 or 3 in 1, and it was a nightmare.
