Yeah the prevailing theory is that turbo FA20's produce more torque earlier in the RPM range (and torque will often increase rapidly once the turbo spools), increasing the chances of bending a rod.

Positive displacement superchargers like the edelbrock produce more low/midrange than a JRSC, but still less than most of the turbo kits.
