Pirelli SottoZero 3 - so far really great

215/45/17 size

30-45 F weather they have good grip. They wiggle a small amount when pushed hard side to side compared to the Michelin HP Primacies, but the walls are rigid. I think the movement is from the large-ish tread blocks. Weight seems the same as the OEM, i will check that in the spring, forgot to put them on my chemical scale. The ride is very similar to the OEM. It is quieter however.

Gas mileage is greater than when I had the OEM Primacy's on. That might be due to the cold air and the engine being more efficient, but whatever it is, one can say that they do not impact MPG any, and if they do, they improve it. Local traffic and highway cruising both very good, 31.9 combined on Long Island.

At 54 F out, they seem fine. I think they handle better and better with it being colder and colder.
Rain = fantastic both light and moderate/heavy. Puddles are great too.

I think this is the tire that is meant to be on this car for the winter. I have them mounted on the 2017 PP wheels.

I thank Tcoat for helping me figure out what to get. Seriously fantastic tire for driving quick in the cold. I dont want to abuse them though as they are not cheap and I want to keep the tread depth as deep as possible for when it starts to snow.

The acceleration grip is really good. Sticks well.
