It isn't just weight it is the pressure points. Also talking a huge difference between the floor of a Porsche and most aftermarket hoods. All carbon fiber is not created equal. I have seen exactly 3 CF hoods in real life and all of them were cracked to some degree or another and that was just from closing them frequently.
